Well hopefully you were fortunate enough to advance to Week 2 of the Eliminator Challenge. Approximately only 11% of people were eliminated in Week 1. Although I did recommend you picking the Saints, hopefully you did not listen to me. However did say the only way the Saints lose is if RG3 has a monster day, well that is just about what happened. With that being said, I went 2-1 with my recommended picks, and was able to win my pick of the week with the Chicago Bears.

Looking at Week 2, there are a lot of hidden gems and traps. I feel as though a much larger percent of people will be eliminated this week, which means you will once again want to focus on safety. Three teams I like this week are the Giants (vs Bucs at -9), the Patriots (vs Cardinals -13), and the Texans (@ Jaguars -6.5).

The Giants in my mind are the riskiest of those three picks, but are the third safest pick of the week in my mind. They have a tough schedule this year which means their future value is very low. The only game I would consider using them in for the rest of the season is when they host the Browns in Week 5. They are coming off of a loss against the Cowboys, but have had a long week to prepare for one of the worse teams in the League (even though the Bucs are 1-0). This is a huge game for the Giants and I do not expect another letdown.

The Patriots are by far the safest pick this week but are also the most valuable team going forward. Just about every week they are usable. Personally I am going to save them for week where there are slim pickings, however I understand if you cannot pass up on the -13 or do not feel comfortable with any other matchups.

Finally, my personal pick is the Texans. I understand that most of you took them last week, however I did not. Though they are on the road I think it is silly to expect nothing less than a big “W.” The Texans are one of the most balanced teams in the NFL and should find a way to beat what I feel may be the worst team in the NFL in the Jaguars. Now you may feel that the Texans are a valuable team going forward, however that is false. In fact the next week they are worth using is Week 9 against the Bills.

Make sure you watch my video for some matchups I do particularly like and more information on my picks for this week. Good luck to all and hope you make it to Week3!

To be honest, I do not really like Cincinnati. With the Texans, Patriots or Giants available I would definitely take one of them. I could see a situation where Cincinnati losses this week.

I had Houston Week 1 so they are out. New England is definitely a rock solid pick but NYG has a history of losing games as heavy favorites at home to inferior teams like Tampa so I'm a little hesitant to take them. The Bucs seem improved this year too

Week 1: Texans

Week 2: Giants
Im going with Giants at home. After a long week of rest I just do not see this team starting 0-2, especially 0-2 at home.

Week 1: Chicago
Week 2: Cincinnati

Too much future value for New England. I'd rather take Cincinnati Week 2 with a good chance of winning versus having to take a mediocre team later on. Finishing last in your pool pays the same as finishing 2nd. In it to win it! Cincinnati has very little future value. Use them now!

I like the way thenatti is thinking. Why not take a small chance with Cincinnati this week and save those teams with greater future value in attempt to hope that Arizona somehow upsets New England and eliminates hlf of your pool.

Obviously you can substitue Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and whoever else for Arizona and New York and Houston for New England.

I took the Bears Week 1, but am now starting to overthink this and am leaning towards saving the Texans and just picking the Pats this week. I know the Texans should win this week, but they are on the road and have a big matchup next week. Although it is not likely, I could see them laying an egg.
